April 1 Update

Governor Cooper’s Updates:

If you’re grocery shopping over the next few days, it’s important not to buy more than you need — especially items with WIC labels — so that North Carolinians receiving SNAP/WIC benefits are able to get what they need for themselves & their families.

This action is particularly important since tomorrow is the the first of the month. Today's action orders that electric, gas, water and wastewater services can't shut off for the next 60 days. Telecommunication companies that provide phone, cable and internet services are strongly urged to follow these same rules.'

Remember, no matter what the specific case count is in our district, community transmission is present in our state and region. When you choose to follow precautions like avoiding unnecessary outings, maintain distance from others, wash your hands often, disinfect spaces, and stay home when you are sick, you are choosing to protect yourself and everyone around you. That’s how we will win this war on our invisible enemy!
